This is a miniature harmonica from the estate of a WW2 RAF Bomber Command Pilot. He was called James Lester Alderman. Just over 1.1/4 inches in it's original box. In his flying career he spent a lifetime in aviation with over 8 million miles flown ! Serving with 78 Squadron shot up Germany pursued by jets , coned by searchlights awarded DFC First pilot back from first daylight raid on the Ruhr and broadcast his experiences on the BBC to the empire ! Post war a colourful life Hijacked in Beiruit taken prisonber by rebels in East Inia 1949 and numerous other scrapes
. Famous passengers included Frank Sinatra Gregory Peck Shah of Iran etc .
