Hey Mom! Guess where I am! I'd tell you if I knew, but this train is fast, I might be in China for all I know. Everyone here are dewdroppers (lazy person) and hobos, just to get food we have to go and beg. Luckily, I was able to have a nice sitdown family dinner with these nice stand up people. We have to sleep on the top of the train, and it's mighty cold. Last night Jerome got thrown off the train. I now realize how far away from home I am. I'm scared and I want to get back, but I have to find work. I have to sleep on the top of the train during the night, everywhere else is occupied. Last night I almost got caught by the train guard, but I was able to hide in the bushes. I switched trains for the first time yesterday; we had to jump off a train and run to the next one in just a few seconds. I don’t think we all made it. How is dad? Did he find a job in the city? I hope you guys are doing well. I’m going to New York to be a bell bottom (sailor) .
