To the Delegates of the Confederation of the United States of America.
In the summer of this year, 1787, you are cordially invited to the drafting of the Constitution of the United States at the Constitutional Convention. It has become obvious to the inhabitants of this great country that the Articles of Confederation have succeeded in their ultimate goal of establishing a country. However, it is also obvious that they have also caused this country to have internal turmoil which will eventually be the downfall of this country. For this reason, it is imperative that we start this country anew with a better government. If you decline this invitation, you threaten to take this country one step back towards British Totalitarian rule. By accepting this invitation, you extend the survivability of our country tenfold and will be written in history as a participant of the planning of the new government of the United States of America. If you accept this invitation, you also consent to keeping the contents of this letter and the meetings concerning the drafting of a new constitution under the utmost secrecy. Please consider this important opportunity to help our dysfunctional country start anew.
Regards Secretary of State
