Dear Diary, 7-17-1776 When I woke up in the middle of the night, one of my brothers was gone so, I could not sleep that night. Then in the morning I heard Mother and Father fighting so my other brother ran in to my room to comfort me so I said, “I am scared” he responded “I know.” My brother did not come back that day but when he did it was to warn us. It is now 12:00 p.m. and, I can hear gunshots. The gun shots were coming from the British and the continental army shooting the
Redcoats and, I ran to mother so she can comfort me. Mother started to sing. Then the shooting stopped after father peeked outside the redcoats were gone!!!!! Sincerely, Sofia
