My works, I fear, are not keeping me well. I've sold but one in the last three months. They all say an artist is worth naught till he passes. Still, I continue to paint for the beauty of art, not the beauty of gold.
My favourite piece is that of my lady Lisa. Her expression is quite telling - soulful eyes. I much prefer to paint with vibrant colours, especially red. Too many of my robes have been soiled by black pigments.
