I, Timothy McVeigh will be explaining why I bombed the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. You thought this would be your basic letter with paragraphs or an introduction, it will be a question then an answer so make it easier to comprehend. Q: Why televised your attack? Did you want the fame? What was your motive? First I feel insulted that you would think I did all this for fame. I've barely been in front of a camera. I wanted to prove a point. The U.S. shows re-enactments of real or fictional executions on TV or movies? Yet they're ashamed to
carry out the justice system. It's quite ironic that their afraid to show domestic laws being carried out. but they show fictional ones. Q: Were there other options besides bombing? Why of course there were. You have the obvious protest marches, and letter campaigns, and let's not forget the basic small-budgeting video production. All of those were futile, seriously they were meaningless. Wouldn't get my point across and did I mention, basic. You have to be creative people, violent actions takes you somewhere. In that topic, I considered a campaign of individual assassination with "eligible" targets (FBI agents, Senators, thought about the
President even, kept an open mind). Q: Who or what were your targets? I was quite angered when the branches not only said that the government didn't do anything wrong, they had the nerve to award and give bonus to those agents involved in the riot and imprison the survivors, when the jury themselves saw nothing guilty about them and even wanting them to be set free. I couldn't stand for this outrage. Keep in mind, "the bombing at the Murrah Federal Building wasn't personal at all. No more than when the Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marine personnel bomb or launch cruise
missiles against government installations and their personnel." I'm just saying. I hope this clarifies everything your mind was questioning. Sincerely, Timothy J. McVeigh USP Terre Haute (IN)
