Hey, its Josh I'm just replying to your question. I would rather have served at sea. The reason that I would rather serve at sea is because at sea you would be safer, and you would have a higher chance of living. Also if you were in the trenches you could get a lot of diseases. You would also be able to sleep on a comfortable bed rather than in the trenches. The food would be much better than if you were at the trenches as well.
I would not want to serve in the trenches because, you could get bombed
at any time and the chances of living were very slim. Also all the diseases you could get would make your chances of living even more slim. Also if you pop your head out to see where the enemies are for a second you could get sniped, and if they threw a grenade you could not do anything because you would be two crowded to run away.
I would not want to serve as a pilot because the life expectancy of a pilot was 3 weeks. Also if you got shot down by explosive of some kind you didn’t have parachutes
so you would die no matter what you did. The aircrafts back then were not as good as the ones we have today, so after a month or so using the aircraft it would fall apart because they did not have good enough technology to build it better. Also it would take long to master the mini gun on the aircraft and to aim well, but people back then did not have enough time to master the mini gun.
