Hi, I hope this finds you well, and that no one has died who you hold precious.
I recently tried using SONAR to map the ocean floor and it is amazing what I found. I discovered rifts on the ocean floor!
I think that new rocky crust is being formed at the
ocean ridges and spreading outwards. I also think that the
crust was sinking down into Earth, forming ocean trenches.
Three things that are really happening prove me right.
• magnetic striping
• age of the sea floor
• sediment thickness.
