Dear Will, I know you have been questioning why Jesus said "ask and it shall be given" See here it is easy to explain. You think why would he ever say something like that when it isn't always so? Well, God has to say no for our own good, or for us to learn something important, or just to show his power. Or he's just testing ya to make sure you actually have faith in him. When He meant "ask and he shall receive" I believe it was saying don't worry, have faith and hold on to God in the good
and the bad times and accept whatever happens. You should respect life for how it is, like God made it. Even if it isn't what you wanted. Jesus wasn't saying ask and you shall receive physical healing or items, but spiritual healing and faith. God meant us to ask God to help us stand the pain, not beg Him to take pain away. We can ask for the comfort and hope and patience and strength and courage, and to be gracious when things ain't goin our way. Love, Grandpa Rucker Blakeslee
