Dear my beloved Daisy, When I gaze upon the stars from my shelled-out trench, all I picture is your gorgeous face. The fighting here is getting pretty tough, I've seen a great many things that I wish I could forget. Thankfully the thought of you washes away all my fears and nightmares. I've just been promoted to major, and with this letter, I've attached my medal from the battle of the Argonne forest. I hope you use it as a reminder of me while I'm still away at war. Soon enough I'll be home and I can
give you all the riches in the world Daisy. Stay safe until I get back. Love you always, Jay Gatsby
