Dear Father,
This is not simply a happy birthday letter. Nor is it a letter expressing my gratitude for you. What it is, is a range of simple observations. The knowledge you have bestowed upon me, through literature and exposure to arts, even if it were against my will, or forcefully inflicted, has aided my growth and development, into the intelligent Man I am today. You posses virtues of Love and Care, as well knowledge and experience, which you offer to me unconditionally, and eagerly. It is as Charles Dicken’s says, “A true man, possess wisdom of the head, as well
as wisdom of the heart.” These aspects are what makes up the bearded figure that is known to many as Philippe, but to me as Father. Thus, I close this letter with a short statement which comprehensively expresses my thoughts.
“Happy 50th Dad.”
