April 12,1770 Dear Family, I became a Minuteman, I fought in the American revolution. I have to tell you about some events that happened to me in the American revolution . We had 10 people get killed and seven people were injured. We had several people found to be tried for treason, but we took care of them at least most of them. I almost died with the other 10 fighting for Lexington. I think that I know the man who shot the shot that was heard around the world. I wish
I knew for real who shot that shot. The British had 1000’s of men so I had to watch myself. We are trying to get freedom from England. I saw lots of blood even some of my own. It will take some time for it to heal. I was shot in the leg right in the knee cap, so I was in a lot of pain. I could not walk for four months. I was one of the seven that got injured. After the Stamp Act we have been searching for freedom. Our next step is
to go to Concord. I hope I get to see you before I possibly die. Sincerely your one and only, Ethan Allen
