15 Sept 1814 Dearest Mother, I find myself enjoying the sunshine and wishing we could be sharing it together. Spring has arrived in a flurry of bird song and frog calls, I know Father would appreciate the amphibious evening hum. Whilest I find myself idle I am far from unoccupied, I have many an engaging text to keep me amused and feel the days drifting past in quick succession. It will not be long until you hold me to your bosom once again. Your dutiful daughter, Robin
