4-8-2021 Dear Moss, I hope this letter finds you well. I perceive as correct to start this letter by apologizing for my tardiness to write you back, but you shall understand more than anyone the difficulties of living in the city. Everyone seems to walk without utter importance of their surroundings. Nobody likes to sit down and appreciate the smell of the exquisite flowers in their small home gardens, that they usually forget to water. I have come to find out these gardens are analogies of their own brains. That they usually fail to remember to fill them with knowledge and wisdom
as a sign of respect to their counterparts. I owe to believe for my own good and sanity that we are more than this, that there is still hope in humanity even when the greatest calamity of our time is the lack of knowledge and the love for expressing comments that are nothing else than utter nonsense. Given this I have taken the work of doing those jobs that the last generation find no significance or fulfillness in, such as: cooking a pie, embroidering and reading the classics, because somebody needs to conserve the beautiful and save the damned of
their own hex. Trying to save the beauty have literally left me without time, to do other things of importance such as writing you back, and for that I am sincerely sorry, since friendships such as ours are a beautiful thing. For these reasons I am thankful to say my days in the city are over. The only thing that saddens me is that every day I just seem to get farther away from you, but that is just the way life is my dear friend. Some people come and others go, but I do expect to not lose contact with
you. As I find this platonic friendship to be my only scape from my boring day to day routine. What would it be of me without you? That is why I was hoping to see you before I leave to the American northern lands in two weeks, but if I do not get to see you I hope to see you when I get back next year by the time flowers are blooming again and the sky is as blue as the eyes of those boys I fancy. Yours Truly, María de Los Ángeles Galindo Rivera P.S. Please stop putting yourself in those
lousy positions with boys that does nothing else but fool around with you to their own pleasure, and have nothing but hate in their heart for who they are and for who you are. You deserve nothing, but love. Love that I have stated before that sadly for you I cannot offer you back at least not in the way you want. All that I got for you is my sincere friendship and hope you are completely okay with that.
