Dear Suzie,...

Dear Suzie,
I am desperately writing to you again because it is urgent. I am currently sitting in a tub of water, alone, crying. Everyone else just hunted and killed animals because we are so hungry and low on food. I hate my father, he does not care about me or my family at all. I am on my breaking point Suzie, I might as well just be dead. I will finish this letter another day to give you a better update of what my life has come to……
Just when I thought life couldn't get worse, it does. Ruth May was bit by a snake and died right before my eyes. My sisters and I had to tell our parents. “It will never be normal again” for my family, because there is only one Ruth May in the world and she is gone. “ Until this moment, I’d always believed I could still go home and pretend the Congo never happened”, but I can’t.(367) I have changed, Suzie, I don’t feel like “the same Rachael as before,” my experiences living here have captured me and taken away the old Rachael Price. I feel sad for the villagers, having always lived this life. Pray for me, and SOS. Send help if you see this.
Bye,
Rachel Price
